New wildfire (and other threat) insurance moratoria guideline
The Superintendent of Insurance has published guidance to insurance companies licensed in Alberta, which applies to circumstances when property is exposed to an elevated risk level due to the existence of a threat increasing risk of loss, such as during a current or on-going flood or wildfire condition.
Insurers are urged to follow the guideline when providing property and automobile physical damage insurance.
